Thomas Glenn De Fosse was born on 27 December 1948.

On 4 March 1968, Private First Class Thomas Glenn De Fosse was serving with L Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Amphibious Force, in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC De Fosse was killed in action when he sustained wounds from artillery, rocket or mortar fire. His body was recovered.
