John James Conway
Private First Class, U.S. Marine Corps

John James Conway was born on 18 November 1948 in New Bedford, MA, the son of Austin and Angeline Conway. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on 20 July 1966 at Boston, MA.

On 17 March 1967, Private First Class John James Conway was serving with L Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines, in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Conway was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
