Jimmy Concepcion-Chatman was born on 30 November 1943.
On 21 July 1968, Private First Class Jimmy Concepcion-Chatman was serving with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division, in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.
On that day, PFC Concepcion-Chatman was killed in action when he sustained wounds from an explosive device. His body was recovered. He received a posthumous promotion to Corporal.
