James Wilford Clay

James Wilford Clay was born on 17 July 1949.
On 29 May 1969, Private James Wilford Clay was serving with B Company, 2nd Battalion, 505th Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division, in Binh Duong Province, South Vietnam.
On that day, Private Clay was killed in action when he sustained multiple fragmentation wounds. His body was recovered. He received a posthumous promotion to Private First Class.
