Hugh Wallick Albers

Hugh Wallick Albers was born on 13 February 1926, in Sidney, OH. He was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in the Class of 1949.
Albers was a U.S. Navy aviator who retired as a Captain after 28 years. He was also a meteorologist and an oceanographer.
After retiring from the Navy, Albers moved to Sarasota, FL, in 1972 and he was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church.
Death and Burial
Captain Hugh Wallick Albers, USN (Ret.), age 78, died on 3 July 2004, in Sarasota, FL. He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara A. (Seving) Albers, in 1989. Hugh and Barbara are inurned at the U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery in Annapolis, MD.
Survivors include his second wife, Josephine Ann Albers; daughters Gail VanBruht of Wayzata, MN, and Martha Hill of Encinitas, CA; and five grandchildren.
