Biography:

John Quinlan
Tech Sergeant, U.S. Army Air Forces

John Quinlan was born on 13 June 1919.

During World War II, he was the tail gunner of the famed "Memphis Belle" B-17 Bomber, which was the first to complete its 25 air missions without a casualty. Mr. Quinlan was credited with shooting down two German fighter planes while on the "Belle" and with assisting in shooting down three other planes during the War.

Death and Burial

Tech Sergeant John Quinlan died on 18 December 2000. He is buried at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
