On 14 July 1967, Private First Class Roger Lee Acree was serving with C Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, in Military Region 3, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Acree Died While Missing when he sustained wounds from artillery, rocket or mortar fire. His body was recovered.
