Private Ciaramitaro was a member Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 3rd Infantry Division Artillery. He contracted Spirochetal Jaundice (Weil's Disease) was taken to the 121st Evacuation Hospital where he died on27 July 1951.

Ciaramitaro was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
