|
Richard Joseph Hogan attended Lincoln HS in Jersey City, NJ, where he lettered in track. Richard served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War where he contracted yellow fever. He served with the men of the 146th Honor Platoon, Second Recruit Battalion at Parris Island, SC. He was a tank leader, marksman, and a sharpshooter. He was a Staff Sergeant when he was discharged 4 years later. Richard was also in the Naval Reserve. Medals & Awards Combat Action Ribbon Death and Burial Staff Sergeant Richard Joseph Hogan died on 25 December 2008 in Lakehurst, NJ. He is buried at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River, NJ. |
