Hubert Auther Maynard was born on 18 August 1922 and he married Private First Class Christine Agnus Clunie, U.S. Marine Corps (24 December 1928 - 21 December 1995).

Hubert and Christine had one child, Jeffery Scott (14 September 1951 - 31 October 2008).

Military Service

Hubert served in World War II, the Korean War, and did two tours in the Vietnam War.

He participated in the Cuban Missile Blockage aboard the USS Boston

He sailed into the Black Sea during Russia's attempt to deny the USA access

He sailed under the Artic Sea
