Sergeant Matsuda was a member of Service Company, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. On 27 July 1950, he drowned in the river by Chinju, Korea. Matsuda was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal. |
