Private Bleen was a member of the 863rd Port Transportation Company, U.S. Army. On the night of 1 September 1951, he fell into an unprotected well at Pusan, South Korea. Bleen was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal. |
