Lieutenant Junior Grade Lockhart was a member of the U.S. Navy serving in Korea. He died of other causes on 13 August 1950.

Lockhart was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
