Stanley Jay Schiller

Stanley Jay Schiller was born in Chicago, IL, on 9 September 1924 to Florence and Judge Jay Schiller who would often have young Stan sit by his side while he adjudicated.

Later, Stan was proud captain of Senn High School's swim team and a graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, Class of 1947.

His passions included the stock market, reading, duplicate bridge, golf and tennis. His quick wit and unflagging sense of humor endeared Stan to everyone who knew him.

Stan, above everything, loved his family. He was a devoted father to his five sons and devoted husband to his wife, Thelma. Their 40-year anniversary was celebrated just days earlier.

Stanley Jay Schiller died peacefully, of natural causes, on the evening of 22 January 2010 at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. He was 85. His loving wife, Thelma, as well as all five of his sons were by his side.

He will be greatly missed and is survived by his wife, Thelma; his brother, Jay; his five sons, Jay B, Harry, Dan, Stan Jr., Tom, and their families.
