Biography:

On 4 February 1944, U.S. Army Private First Class Leonard Dominick was serving with Company K, 142nd Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division near the village of San Pietro, Italy. The 36th Infantry Division was engaged in a grueling campaign marked by futile attempts to establish a secure bridgehead across the Rapido River from 1 January to 8 February 1944. PFC Dominic was killed four days before the campaign ended.
