As a Captain, Richard Lawrence Creed was the Military Attache at the American Embassy in Paris. On 20 June 1930, Major Creed graduated from the Command and General Staff School. He died in Italy on 15 November 1943 while serving with the 3rd Infantry Division. He and his wife, Anne Houlihan Creed, had a son, Richard Lawrence Creed, Jr. (Honoree Record ID: 221664), who graduated from the USMA in the Class of 1944. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Major. Burial Colonel Richard Lawrence Creed is buried at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial in Nettuno, Provincia di Roma, Lazio, Italy. |
