2LT Vincent attended Will Rogers High School and the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He entered the service in December of 1943 and went overseas in February 1944. 2LT Vincent was serving as a flight navigator with Marine Bomber Squadron 423, known as the Seahorse Marines on Espiritu Santo in the South Pacific when his plane crashed into the side of a mountain during a thunderstorm on the night of April 22, 1944. His remains, along with six other crew members, were discovered in 2007 by an expedition that included family members in a dense jungle at an elevation of 3,152 feet. He was buried with full military honors on May 5, 2012, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
