Ronald Raymond Cormier was born on 8 April 1948.

On 21 April 1967, Private First Class Ronald Raymond Cormier was serving with F Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division, III Marine Amphibious Force, in Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Cormier was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
