William Harold Cook

William Harold Cook was born on 29 October 1947.

On 26 March 1968, Hospital Corpsman Third Class William Harold Cook was serving with Headquarters & Service Company, 3rd Medical Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Amphibious Force in Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, HM3 Cook was killed in a non-hostile action when the helicopter in which he was a passenger, crashed at sea. His body was recovered.

He received a posthumous promotion to Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 2nd Class.
