Stanley Edwin Ziebarth On 9 April 1945, then-Technician Fourth Grade Stanley Edwin Ziebarth was serving with an unspecified unit of the 473rd Infantry Regiment, 92nd Infantry Division, Fifth U.S. Army. On that day, TEC 4 Ziebarth’s unit was in action against German forces in Italy. TEC 4 Ziebarth’s courageous actions and extraordinary heroism that day earned him, at the cost of his life, the U.S. Army's second highest award for valor, the Distinguished Service Cross.
