Benny L. Walski Private First Class Benny L. Walski, ASN 36903057, served in the U.S. Army with the 326th Glider Infantry Regiment, 13th Airborne Division, in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. He died of non-battle causes while his unit was participating in army of occupation duties almost two months after Germany's surrender on 7 May 1945. Medals and Awards Purple Heart * * In January 2014 a Purple Heart medal that was purported to have been issued to PFC Benny L. Walski was offered for sale via ebay. Burial Private First Class Benny L. Walski is buried at the Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial in Epinal, Departement des Vosges, Lorraine, France in Plot A, Row 36, Grave 46. |
