Isela Rubalcava

On 8 May 2004, then-Sergeant Isela Rubalcava, was assigned to the 296th Combat Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), based at Fort Lewis, WA, and currently deployed in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. That day, SGT Rubalcava was killed in action near Mosul, Iraq, when a mortar round hit nearby.

SGT Rubalcava is survived by her parents, Ramon and Maria Isela Rubalcava, two younger brothers, and her grandmother, Margarita Rubalcava.
