John Andrew Charnoplosky
Sergeant, U.S. Army

John Andrew Charnoplosky was born on 31 December 1952.

On 21 November 1971, then-Specialist 4 John Andrew Charnoplosky was serving with 187th Assault Helicopter Company, 11th Aviation Battalion, 12th Aviation Group, 1st Aviation Brigade, in Tay Ninh Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, Charnoplosky was killed when the helicopter of which he was a crewmember crashed due to non-hostile causes in a mid-air crash with another helicopter. His body was recovered.

Charnoplosky was awarded a posthumous promotion to Sergeant E-5.
