David Jude "Putt-Putt" Cavis

Second Lieutenant, U.S. Army

David Jude Cavis was born on 17 December 1943, the son of Charles and Clarice Cavis.

On 22 February 1968, Second Lieutenant David Jude Cavis was serving with A Company, 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division, in Binh Duong Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, 2LT Cavis was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
