Everett Lewis Brocks was born on 10 November 1942.

On 5 May 1970, Staff Sergeant Everett Lewis Brocks was serving with C Company, 31st Engineer Battalion, 79th Engineer Group, 20th Engineer Brigade, U.S. Army Engineer Command Republic of Vietnam.

On that day, SSG Brocks was killed in action in Cambodia when he sustained wounds from an explosive device. His body was recovered.
