Hurley Millard Boyd Private First Class, U.S. Army Hurley Millard Boyd was born on 18 May 1946. On 26 March 1969, Private First Class Hurley Millard Boyd was serving as an infantryman in the 3rd Platoon, C Company, 4th Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 11th Infantry Brigade in Quang Ngai Province in South Vietnam. He was wounded while in combat action when a hostile booby trap detonated. PFC Boyd was evacuated to a military hospital at Camp Zama, Japan, where he died of his wounds on 2 April 1969.
