Kent Robert Bolter was born on 20 August 1949 in Manistee, MI.

On 20 April 1968, Private First Class Kent Robert Bolter was serving with M Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Bolter was killed in action when he sustained wounds from an explosive device. His body was recovered.
