Roger Lee Berg was born on 23 September 1947 in Ravenna, MI.

On 4 May 1966, PFC Roger Lee Berg was serving with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry, 101st Airborne Division in Quang Duc Province in South Vietnam.

On that day, the helicopter in which PFC Berg was riding crashed. He died while missing and his body was recovered on 13 May 1966.
