Benjamin Patteson

Benjamin Patteson was born on 15 September 1789 in Virginia.

Patteson served on General Andrew Jackson's staff during the Indian Wars and was a personal friend of Jackson. After his Army service, Patteson served as a U.S. Marshall for thirty-one years.

Death and Burial

Brigadier General Benjamin Patteson died on 15 August 1862 in Alabama. He is buried at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, AL.
