Edmond Harrison Leavey Edmond Harrison Leavey was born on 21 July 1894. After serving in World War II, mainly in logistics in both European and Pacific Operations, he became Chief of Transportation for the War Department. As a Major General, he served in 1951 as Assistant Chief of Staff to the Supreme Headquarters and the Allied Powers in Europe. In Retirement From 1952-56, he was vice-president and president from 1956-59 of the International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation. Death and Burial Edmond Harrison Leavey died on 11 February 1980. He is buried at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, HI. |
