Graduated first in his USMA Class of 1941. Service during World War II and the Vietnam War. Assigned as Assistant Division Commander of the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). Died as a result of a heart attack 1 week following his arrival in-country.
One of 336 graduates of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point to die in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.
