James House James House was born in 1761. House enlisted in the Continental Army on 14 March 1777 at the age of fifteen and served as a Matross (artillery gunner) in Captain Drury Ragsdale's Company of Artillery assigned to the State of Virginia. Death and Burial James House died on 17 November 1834. Originally buried in the Old Presbyterian Cemetery in Georgetown (now a part of Washington, DC), he was re-interred at Arlington National Cemetery on 12 May 1892. He is one of eleven Revolutionary War Veterans re-interred at Arlington. |
