PFC THOMAS LAMAR LEWIS
“Tommy Lee” as he was known in his hometown of Moore Haven, Florida, was born on September 26, 1944, to Mr. and Mrs. Acil L. Lewis. Tommy Lee lived with father in Moore Haven and attended school there graduating from Booker T. Washington High School, in the Class of 1962. He had a baby girl named Sharon.
He joined the Army and began his tour of duty on May 7, 1968, with the HHE, 9TH SUPPLY & TRANSPORT BN, 9TH, INFANTRY DIVISION.
On December 27, 1968, he gave his life for our Country in Dinh Tuong, South Vietnam.
He was, awarded, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, w/Bronze Oak Cluster, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/3 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Rifle Marksmen Badge.
He is buried in Carver Memorial Gardens
