United States Marine Corps private first class who was killed in action while serving with Combined Action Platoon (CAP) 2-7-9. While on patrol, his platoon was ambushed and hit with a large amount of M79-HE rounds, grenades, and enemy fire. PFC Hardwick died the next day from his wounds.
