Richard Alban Gross
Lance Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps

Richard Alban Gross entered the U.S. Marine Corps on 31 August 1967 at Royal Oak, MI.

On 3 September 1968, Lance Corporal Richard Alban Gross was serving with C Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines, 3rd Marine Division (Rein), III Marine Amphibious Force in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, LCpl Gross was killed in action when he sustained fragmentation wounds from enemy artillery fire. His body was recovered.
