Joseph Carleton Joseph Carleton was born in 1754 in Belvedere, England. Carleton came to the Colonies and served as a Paymaster in the American Continental Army during the Revolution. Death and Burial He died in 1812 and was buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Georgetown (now a part of Washington, DC). On 13 November 1907, he was re-interred in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA, along with eleven Revolutionary War Veterans. |
