John Vincent Akin

On 15 June 1968, Private First Class John Vincent Akin was serving with C Company, 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, in Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Akin was killed in action when he sustained wounds from an explosive device. His body was recovered.
