Raymond Joseph Ahern, Jr.
Specialist Four, U.S. Army

On 8 May 1968, Specialist Four Raymond Joseph Ahern, Jr. was serving with C Battery, 2nd Battalion, 19th Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, in Tay Ninh Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, SP4 Ahern was killed in action when he sustained wounds from artillery, rocket or mortar fire. His body was recovered.
