David August Acton

On 5 July 1967, Hospitalman David August Acton was serving with Headquarters and Service Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Amphibious Force, in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, HN Acton was killed in action when he sustained wounds from artillery, rocket or mortar fire. His body was recovered.
