Humberto Acosta-Rosario

On 22 August 1968, Private First Class Humberto Acosta-Rosario was serving with B Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division, in Tay Ninh Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Acosta-Rosario was listed as Missing in Action. He was declared dead on 1 March 1978. His body was not recovered.

During the time that Acosta-Rosario was listed in MIA status, he was promoted to Staff Sergeant.
