Maxie Edward Ackerman

On 25 February 1968, Private First Class Maxie Edward Ackerman was serving with C Company, 5th Battalion, 60th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division, in Dinh Tuong Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Ackerman was killed in action when he sustained multiple fragmentation wounds. His body was recovered.

Ackerman received a posthumous promotion to Corporal.
