James Joseph Jenks, Jr.

On 31 August 1968, First Lieutenant James Joseph Jenks, Jr. was serving with C Company, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, in Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, 1LT Jenks was killed in action when he sustained wounds from Friendly Fire. His body was recovered.
