Miguel A Abreu-Batista, Jr.

On 8 May 1968, Private First Class Miguel A Abreu-Batista, Jr. was serving with 1st Platoon, B Company, 3rd Battalion, 39th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division, in Gia Dinh Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Abreu-Batista was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.

Abreu-Batista received a posthumous promotion to Corporal.
