Ernest Abeyta
Private First Class, U.S. Marine Corps

On 1 June 1969, Private Private First Class Ernest Abeyta was serving with G Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Amphibious Force in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Abeyta was killed in action when he sustained wounds from an explosive device. His body was recovered.
