Biography:

Private First Class Bennett was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 179th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy on "Old Baldy" in North Korea on 21 June 1952.

Bennett was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Good Conduct Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan).
