|
Boatswain's Mate First Class White was a crew member of the destroyer USS Roan (DD-853). He was killed when his ship collided with the destroyer USS Brownson (DD-868) during night exercises at sea about 400 miles off North Carolina. White was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. |
