Airman Third Class Kyle was a member of the 49th Air Installations Squadron, 49th Air Base Group. He suffered an electrical shock and was taken to the 49th Medical Group Dispensary near Taegu, South Korea where he died on 30 June 1952.

Kyle was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
