Biography:

Corporal Andrews was a decorated veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near Majori, South Korea on 14 January 1951. Ray had been in Korea for only 20 days.

Andrews was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
