Lucas Buckley entered the Air Force in 2004 as a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, where he was a member of the University’s rowing team.
Before joining the Thunderbird team, he served as an instructor for the Advanced Maintenance and Munitions Officer School (AMMOS) at Nellis Air Force Base, NV.
Captain Lucas Buckley is the maintenance officer for the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron. He is responsible for 90 personnel and the maintenance of 11 Block 52 F-16 aircraft. In 2014, Capt Buckley was in his second season with the team.
