Biography:

Colonel Forney was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he commanded the 19th Engineer Combat Group. He was Killed in Action while attached to the IX Corps fighting along the Ch'ongchon River in northwest North Korea on 29 November 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
